Conclusion
In conclusion, I think that our experiment properly tested and illustrated one of the many ways that an oil spill can be contained, and then cleaned up. It was successful overall, although we did run into some troubles. For one, we found that measuring the containment and absorption of the oil accurately was rather difficult, as we had nothing but our eyes to go off of. Also the fact that some human variables such as letting some oil drip (not into the beaker) and letting some escape could have altered the outcome of the experiment is present, although not very troubling. This is because the difference it would have made would be so small that the actual outcome and results of the experiment wouldn't be drastically different. The experiment was also successful because our hypothesis ended up being backed up by our results. In fact, the results ended up better than we had originally anticipated. Overall, I think that this was a very successful experiment, and definitely demonstrated one of the many ways that one would be able to effectively clean up an actual oil spill.
